1) In the block comments in HLA, the text aftert *\ is also treated as comment though its not the case with the hla parser.

2) I have added vxd project to my masm.ini so 11=.vxd and now that I tried out HLA I found out that even though in hla.ini 11=.hla, RadASM still treats 11 to be .vxd. The only workaround I got so far is to declare 11=.vxd and 12=.hla in both masm.ini and hla.ini. I guess this small bug can be trouble us in the future as well.

Hi Milos

The hla parser is very forgiving. :tongue:

Yes there is a bug. When creating new projects the current ini file, instead of the new projects ini file, is used. I will fix it.

I have problems while using previously created .tpl files i have. In fact i tested this with masm TPL files, it has the same problem. And this is not my mistake. because i have downloaded the newest FULL package from RadAsm site and tested with an exist template but the same problem occured. This is, radasm doesn't rename(update) the name of included "resource file name" in \res directory. For example, "RichEditEditor.tpl".

#include <res\RichEditEditorMnu.rc>
#include <res\RichEditEditorDlg.rc>

lines needs update. But in the main rc file(in project root directory), this lines didn't updated. So resource compiler giving an error that, says;

Resif.rc(4) : fatal error RC1015: cannot open include file 'res\RichEditEditorMnu.rc'.

...yes any time will finds. Because must be 'res\ResifMnu.rc' and 'res\ResifDlg.Rc' the other one.

Hi Ketil,

Just a little bug. When you open a project in HLA and close it and open a MASM project the editor does not recognize the ";" as the start of a comment only "/*". You have to close RadASM and restart to have it recognize the ";" again.

- Support for uppercase keywords (precede keyword with a '^').
Keywords starting with ^ are case sensitive - not just uppercase. Cool! :alright:
Don't need to assemble to find those syntax errors.

Note: Group #9 in the MASM ini all need preceeding '^'.

Hey ketilO

Would it be possible to add an option to increase the spacing between lines. I don't like code squashed together and using empty lines is excessive. Being able to increase line spacing would solve this and make the code more readable IMHO.

Keep up the great work :alright:

RadAsm is working in NT4 but by starting up there are 2 messages:

"Cannot find ordinal 24 in DLL ODBC32.dll"
"Cannot load file MsdnHelp.dll"

But RadAsm is working!

Hi donkey

Insert this in masm.ini

It will restore the character table to asm syntax.

Hi Maelstrom

Would be very simple to do.

Try to remove the line in RadASM.ini section

Hey ketilO

I've just installed 2.0.17 and I've noticed that proc collapsing doesn't work if you don't have a project open.

Is this a bug or a feature?

Posted on 2003-04-08 21:46:29 by Maelstrom
Hi Ketil,

If you open an ASM file outside of a project and press the refresh button in the properties window RadASM will crash. (Win2K SP3)

Hi Maelstrom, Donkey, NEMO

New upload ( to my web site.

Hopefully this will take care of the bugs.

Additional line spacing.

If you add this line to section in masm.ini you will get additional line spacing.

Where x is the spacing in pixels.
