Do they always need to use weapons to solve their "problems"? :/

Well, I heard that they want to use the bunker-busters to carve an image of bush in the face
of the moon... kindda like another mount Rushmore:rolleyes:

NASA need to remember that the moon is not theirs to bomb, it belongs to all humanity. If they bomb my portion, i will deem it an act of war, but because i can't invade i will just sue. Yeah.

From the linked article:

"The probes are based on bunker-buster penetrators, but instead of explosives, would carry sophisticated scientific instruments hardened against the shock of striking the lunar surface."

Note it plainly states NO EXPLOSIVES.

Lets hope they don't make a mess of it, someone wanted to mine the moone at some stage in the future and it would make it more difficult if a mountain of junk had beens sent there first.

sluggy, no, the Moon does not belong to everybody but to a simple citizen that bought it using a legal flaw...
I don't remember exactly, but he bought it for nothing, and is planning to sell portion to build houses in the future there...

So, actually, they would have to ask him, this simple and very dishonest citizen, imho, to bomb the Moon... how funny... anyway not for him : CIA could kill him.
Posted on 2003-04-25 06:08:48 by JCP
and who did he buy it from? a member of the moon cult?

The moon belongs to the first ppl that settles on the moon, not summer vaccation tourists....

So currently nobody owns the moon, I guess he who claims to onw the moon is american (since the frequence fools appers to be the greatest in america), and I must say that america is not the wolrd ruler, an american (or any other countrys for that matter either) court cannot say that some owns it when the moon ins't an american state.

But if the gets turned on beliving he owns the moon, then WTF let him think so, but the fact is he doesn't own itm nobody does!!!

from nobody : it is a legal flaw...

I don't remember its name : I saw it at TV...

from nobody : it is a legal flaw...

Legal flaw or not, even if it wasn't a flaw he'd still not own the moon.

Scientica, are you from the Moon ? :)

Madness, instanity, why not claim the onwner ship of the space/void between matter too?
How can we be sure that no other lunartic alien has claimed and gotten the owner ship of the entire galaxy?

I still say that the first to settle on the moon will have the "owneship", and who says the UN is all mighty, the USA more or less ignores it whenever it suites them. (And they still owns the UN money and have veto right  )

Who owns the south pole or the north pole?

The 1967 UN Outer Space Treaty stipulates that no government can own extraterrestrial property, but it neglected to mention individuals or corporations.

Well then they negelcted to say/mention it's legal/allowed/permittable for individuals or corporations to own extraterrestrial property too... :P

In my opinion, no government is going to ask agreement from the "Lunar Embassy" to develop space colonies on the Moon or use her resources...

For now, they don't care : the Lunar Embassy people can't even "touch" what they own : NASA and similar space organizations can tough and who cares who owns it if they can't be there...

I hereby declare ownership of Saturn.
Posted on 2003-04-25 18:13:12 by iblis
You can't : the Lunar Ambassador already owns Saturn...
