Hello

how to connect to a server program that use proxy.
for example i have a client and my friend has it's server.
i want to connect to the server.but server ip is (for example) 192.168.0.1 that it is not a real IP.
how i can connect to the server?

192.168.0.1 is your router, not your server.

rotciv, nobody says that IP has to be router, nor that router can't be server as well ^_^

hamed, are you trying to connect across the internet, or from within a LAN?
Across the internet, 192.168.* adresses simply wont work; you'll have to use his internet IP, and make sure there's port forwarding in his router...

I think it's specified in RFC1918 by the IANA (The Internet Assigned Numbers Authority) that the IPs within the following ranges are reserved for the private adress space (local nets):
10.0.0.0-10.255.255.255
172.16.0.0-172.31.255.255
192.168.0.0-192.168.255.255
