Here a little app I would like for you to test.

all it does is create an obfusticated email link in the format of your choice: Hex %xx, Dec &#xxx, or a mix.

Run the program through the ringer :-).

create a webpage and paste the resulting link in the HTML code and test in your browser. I would like to know if all the link formats work in all browsers.

Let me know what you think...

When show the html in phoenix/firebird I see the mailto: in the status bar, no obfuscate (or perhaps I just have Auspex ;)(<-- something I picked up from 4 yrs with Vampire role players)).
Btw, what would be the use of this stealthing of emails?

Yes, you will still see it in the status bar. click the links you created, should open your mail program and the to address should be the email you entered in oelc.

purpose? thwart the spammers a bit. so it's harder to grab you email addy from the html code..
