You've made me laugh, Mister. AceEmbler.

Nobody forced me to learn assembler.
I asked for it myself.
If would not have wanted it, I had not asked for it.
I even asked Mama to talk my Papa in teaching
me programming.

I will never hate programming.

Somehow I Do like it.
May be you have bad parents, if you say such things?

It is not such a bad thing to look at screen.
And I making sport and play with my freinds anyway.

I don't quite understand what did you wrote here, Mister.
But I don't like it and I must warn you
- I've being studying karate since
I was 6, and can make you nose bleeding with one punch
if you mean something bad.

Anyway - you are wellcome to visit us and check for yourself
if somebody "forces" me learning programming.

I know a little about Muay-Thai lets rocks sonny.
you would be realy weak when you need more than one hit to make nose bleed

BTW. 7 years old but he speaks english quite impressive.
maby it's a The Swin dream ?? or his second self  .anyhow,in any case this is funny :alright:

Cut it out, AceEmbler. You're 'fighting' a 7 year old kid. I hope I don't need to draw how pathetic such behaviour is?

Indeed, his English is impressive as are his programming skills. His father taught him well. I wish my father could've done the same.

Great team-work Yan & Alexandr, my hat off to you both :alright:

Hiro, thanks for saying what I was thinking (due to experiences of the past, I don't like when others 'fight' those who have easier to learn things, are better than them selves or simply has listened to and remebered the teacher's advices)

The art of flaming allies/friends isn't something to be really proud of!
("true") Flamming is in essence beeing mean, a "true" flame war has casualties (people geting hurt, insulted and so on), (systematic/frequent) flamming can be comared to bullying.
Flames burn, never enlighten - think of it, or ther might be a blow-torch waiting. (I don't like bullying, -guess why-).

Learning languages while young much more easier than when you are old f*** :))). I advise Yan to learn Japaneese - in his years it will be fun.

LOL you guys who cares if it's 7 or 30 years old. Who cares about flaming by ppl who dont know. Fighting is just fun sometimes so dont be so serious about this. And dont give me this bulshit about flamming that u thing this is bad and so on becouse this what you are doing now to me is flamming. Damn the hypocrisy in this place reached it's limit. Maby somebody should close this thread
And btw. it was not me who started this fight so give me a break or dont give me a break but dont take it so serious.

grow up. "mommy, he started it! w???h! w??h!"

Yan is 7 years old. I can understand certain reactions from a 7 year old, I will not tolerate them from a grown up (as you're supposed to be). Either take the hint or take a hike. The choice is yours.

AceEmbler, I have difficulties with people that encourage younger people to flame, since it can vary easy turn into bullying. And I really don't like bullying, I know how "innocent" can start, and how easy it can become nasty.
I'm sorry if I was a little to powerful in my expression, if (you think) I was too mean to you then I'm sorry. I'm sure you didn't mean any harm, but you should not encourage flaming.

Hi Yan,

I enjoyed your program! I wish you many more successful ones, and hope you continue to practice this art form...as we all strive to do.

Yan, :alright:
For a 7 year old, you replied very well. It can also be seen that you know what your
talking about. I'm very proud of you for sticking up for your self and for your father. I know
your father must be very proud of you too. Keep listening to your father, and you'll be a great
programmer and teacher like him someday. The only thing I could suggest, is that when
someone flames you like that person did. He is just jealous. He's not going to listen seriously
to anything you have to say. So it's just best to completely ignore him. Eventually every one else
will ignore him too, and he could even be eventually bared from the board! (maybe Hutch has a point)

Keep up the good work.

mabye acessembler is jellouse that yan and code in win32asm and he couldn't at his age?
don't forget that russians are very bright and smart, cuz they have a good devoting study system!
Posted on 2003-07-10 13:35:42 by wizzra
agreed. I dream for the day, children in the US have the same study habits of the russian children.

Kids are kids.

Yan,

It's not because you're Russian or because of the school system it's because of you. You did a good job and you should be proud of it, keep plugging away and one day you'll be teaching your dad how to encode the mov yym(1),DQWORD PTR yym(2) instructions on the 80986/256bit processor so that it excutes in the u v or w pipe

agreed. I dream for the day, children in the US have the same study habits of the russian children.

I fear that day... :/
(Sometimes it scares me what I could do with just the plain standard eduaction we get here in Sweden and some thinking.)

The biggest mistake one can make, I think is to let others stop you from learning, or to let them preven you from enjoying learning (sometimes it feels like beeing bright and knowing a lot is a punnishment not a gift, and sometimes it brings respect, authority and happieness).
I find it satisfactory to learn things that I'm interested in, but as I've discovered, sometimes one must learn the booring basics before one can enjoy the more advanced/complex funnier areas of a topic/subject.Posted on 2003-07-10 15:05:27 by scientica
Oh Yan,
by the way have you considered writing the four choices like this-

Would you like to-

    [*]Cross the river alone
    [*]Take the cabbage
    [*]Take the goat
    [*]Take the wolf

Ok, is it just me or do you really can believe that 7 year old boy can
1. Speak foreign language that good
2. Think of this pretty neat logic story for the game
3. Program it (I soupouse mostly) by himself and not more nor less but in assembly, which is reffered by most of people as the hardest programming language (I am not the one of them)

Sorry I have nothing against anybody here, also I know Svin as gread coder with many nice apps, but I really have hard time to believe in this. I remember me when was 7, I could barely write and read without stoping at every other word, on my native language.
Its not impossible of course, in that case this kid is genius, and great deal of achivments is in front of him.
Posted on 2003-07-10 16:46:57 by Mikky
I could read fine at the age of 3-4

it all depends on what stimuli your parents give you I think. If you got smart parents like Yan then you'll get much stimuli I think.

unfortunately my own father can barely write :/
Posted on 2003-07-10 17:03:39 by Hiroshimator
Maybe he's just bilingual. I know a 7 year old who speaks writes and reads English and Irish perfectly.

Yan,

I am also very impressed with your program, it is much better than anything my co-worker
could write and has been programming for 15 years!

Hi Yan!

:alright:

You remind me of my youngest son (he's now 13). When I was 7 computers filled rooms. My children have all been exposed to computers from birth. I know keypunch ;) . Keep up the good work. Kudo's to the Svin and your mom!
