NumLock, CapsLock and ScrollLock?
Posted on 2003-07-23 21:46:21 by P2M
In DOS:

Address: 0000 : 0417
XOR by 40h (64 decimal) to switch Caps Lock.
XOR by 20h (32 decimal) to switch Num Lock.
XOR by 10h (16 decimal) to switch Scroll Lock.

128
144 SCR
160 NUM
176 NUM SCR
192 CAPS
208 CAPS SCR
224 NUM CAPS
240 NUM CAPS SCR

I have no idea of how to do this in Windows, though.

Can it be so simple as:
sending a WM_KEYDOWN with wParam = VK_NUMLOCK (or VK_SCROLL (scrol lock) or VK_CAPITAL (caps lock))? (no tested it thought, perhaps the keybd_event API can do it)

excerpt from win32.hlp - keybd_event
The keybd_event function synthesizes a keystroke. The system can use such a synthesized keystroke to generate a WM_KEYUP or WM_KEYDOWN message. The keyboard driver's interrupt handler calls the keybd_event function.
