Brief: i am trying to write a parent/child protection system for security of some stuff, and Im trying to fig how to allow the master program to change slave program code in real time -

Normally the child prog will function one way (eg demo msg) but i want the parent prog to be able to change the code in runtime ONLY so it works differently (eg reg msg) but doesnt change the actual physical file iteslf - can this be done with hooks? I read the info about them but dont see where you can access the child progs code directly to do these things.

a true parent/child program will not protect you like you want
hide the name of the over write code in registry
have your dll open file and over write functions in dll
call dll functions
reset code on way out

doing this to your own code is easily detected
