I know this is totally unrelated to this forum, but I think someone here will know the answer... what I need to know is how to set an icon to a web page (like in this board, if you browse it with Firebird you will see the icon). Also IE can use an icon in the "Favorites" link.

in the header section:
<link rel="shortcut icon" href="http://yoursite/youricon.ico">

This should work, but I think it only works AFTER someone puts the site in favorites. Anywhays, try and see

make a 16x16 (pixels) bitmap in paint . save it. open that in something like irfanview and save it as favicon.ico

upload that file (binary ofcourse) to the root of the site where you want it to appear (you can specify different icons for different directories if you want) and that's it.

Sometimes you need to refresh your browser's cache before it appears.
