 I got 2 copies of both (volume 1 & 3).
2 & 4 are backordered (wut does that mean?)
Thanks a billion

Backordered means they have more orders for them than books, so it'll take a while for them to make enough copies to fill all orders.
BACK ORDERED means they ran out and need to stock them again lol...
i got only one of each book like one week after i ordered them and man am i happy..

oppss, sorry guy, i am wrong when saying it is free. local FedEx invoice me about .00 for that package.
The shipping cost is around $4, but it's Intel who pays for it, not you. Perhaps the postman got smart and decided you were a good opportunity for a "bonus"
lol i sent mine to my school and they then gave them to me hehe... so not matter what if there is a bill its not for me..
btw, i just receive a package again from intel. Thanks for the great support, Intel :)
just take a quick look, and i saw "VTune" with its hardcopy documentation in a fresh map. wow! its free :)_
actually i ask trial software in cd-rom version. you guys perhaps could get it, if u need :D

Hi, dion
AFAIK, vtune is a commercial product, did you recive a trial limited version?
did i forgot to say that its all *trial* version, of course :)
i contact sdk support, said that i cant afford to dl it, so, i ask the trial cd-rom version if any, then they answer yes, there are, and finally, i receive it. so, this is valid for anyone who cant dl http/web trial version, the reason is ... nah, i cant said it :p

Hi, dion
Yes, I see :(
I can download vtune, of corse. But can't see a use of a tryal version
At the near future I'm going to buy an intel CPU, and not sure if AMDCodeAnalist will work on it :)
In this case I'm afraid my code will work fast (I hope) on Athlon, but slow on P4

Is it really only cost US$4 for that around 9 lbs weight shipping intl ?
No, $4 is for customs (value of the contents of the package - read your invoice). The shipping cost is surely higher, but still it's Intel who pays it.
how much is it? i really want to know :(
Sweet! The AMD manuals came today after a month's wait... The intel came 1 week after the order and another set 1 day after (strange - didn't order two...)
These fit nicely into my library :) Seems the AMD manuals were estimated at 25c worth at customs! Ofcourse I didn't have to pay for that :)

great...so i guess my AMD books shud also be on their way...i placed the order around the same time as you
Today I got a package from Intel with a letter, that reads:
Together with this letter they sent me a CD with IA-32 manuals in PDF format.
Dear Customer,
Recently you placed an order for one or more of the documents listed below. These documents are being revised and are not expected to be available in print again until February of 2004.

same here... got my AMD x86-64 books a few days ago... and the very next day i found two large white envelopes on the lawn (damn UPS... damn dog... damn rain storm) with intel manuals in PDF on CDRom, and the same note you described...
guess i'm going to have to either print out this stuff myself, or add PDF and CDrom support to my null-OS-Skeleton/Development project immediately...
oh well...
