I am attempting to write an ado program in Masm. The update method of the recordset object requires two arguments, both Variants. I see in some c programs that vtMissing is passed in place of both arguments. I am wondering what inc file (or header file to convert) i need to allow the use of vtMissing.

Thanks in advance

I was going to hold this back till i had it polished, but here is a variant class object (for my OOP model) that has ADO stuff in it. (Its not finished so take what you can use ;) )

To answer your question, m using vtNULL which I defined as:
Ado_VNULL VARIANT <VT_ERROR,0,0,0,<DISP_E_PARAMNOTFOUND>> ; VB style Optional "NULL"

I hope this helps... Lemme know if you get the seach routines done ;)

Thanks for the prompt reply NaN. This will help a lot!!! I will read through your code and use as much as possible.;) I am learning this stuff slowly but am finding it very interesting. I am a newbie at assembly language coming from C++ and VB.

Thanks Again
