I was wondering if using the 66h prefix to specify 32 bit operands in a 16 bit code segment carries any noticeable overhead?

I plan to use the 32 bit registers in my 16 bit raycasting program.

It adds one clock if I am not mistaken.

One clock cycle per prefix (not just 66h and 67h, but the others too) is the rule (IIRC).
