Is there a routine to generate random numbers in asm?? If so could some one help me?

try searching the board for the word "random" and you might find something ;)

This has been the most repeated topic i can think of... perhaps Hiro should just append an extra topic into Icz' tuts section linking to all the various 'generator' sources posted thu out the board.

Thing is, each new one gets linked to the previous... heheh (well except this.. I'm starting to catch on :) )

In the Main forum there is a thread about that. You will see that creating a simple random number generator is not so complicated, and i think you would feel better if you can say you have created it. A simple one could be a proc of less than twenty lines. Or go to the thread "Cards game" and you will see that in cards2.zip there is a random number generator included.

Svin, rdtsc is not random, it's a linearly increasing number. You could
use it to seed a random number generator though.

Nice one Svin. :) Maybe just an 'xor edx, eax' afterwards?

Well... :) depending on how offten you call rdtsc al would look
a hell of random :))

In m32lib folder (MASM32) is a proc called FloatToStr.
