how to load an existing bitmap to a dibsection, so that i can manipulate pixels through pointers?

Create the DC and HBMP to contain the bitmap. Create a dib section and DC2 to contain that section. BitBlt from DC to DC2. Destroy DC and HBMP (you won't need them). Use DC2 for BitBlt onto screen or window, and the dib_section data pointer to manipulate bits.
