Hi friends,

The COFF linker Polink from Pelles C package can be used to link Masm/Fasm/GoAsm object files. This linker has allmost the same command line parameters used by MS Link.Polink can use Masm import libraries;just it cannot handle OMF type object files.

Polink creates smaller executables compared to MS Link, Iczelion's paint example reduced from 3072 to 2048 bytes.

Pelles C software development kit is free to use:

Thanks to Jeremy Gordon for his GoAsm example source code.

Vortex,

Thanks for the link, its a nice linker that seems to perform well with a smaller output file.

Have you fathomed how to save a RC script in the IDE, I can get it to work and its well written but the save option is greyed out so I could not save it.

Hi Hutch,

Yes,I had also this problem. An easy solution is to close the project window after being O.K. with the resource editor. The IDE will display a messagebox asking if you want to save
the file (here, the resource file) The rest is easy.
