Hi guys,

I've downloaded both the MASM package the the HLA package that includes RadASM.

I can't figure out what I'm not doing correct here. I get these errors:

C:\masm32\hla\RadASM\Hla\Projects\Dialog>rc /v Dialog.rc
'rc' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.

C:\masm32\hla\RadASM\Hla\Projects\Dialog>hla -p:tmp -w Dialog Dialog.res
'hla' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.

C:\masm32\hla\RadASM\Hla\Projects\Dialog>Dialog

Make finished.

When compile the Dialog example.

Is HLA set up correctly?

Try adding your \masm32\bin path to your path environment variable.

This is how it's configured in the hla.ini

;1=path,c:\hla;c:\masm32\bin;
;2=lib,c:\hla\hlalib
;3=hlainc,c:\hla\include

I'm clueless of what could be wrong :(

Do you have the resource compiler (rc.exe)?
I'm not sure if this is part of the MASM32 download. If you don't have one,
Jeremy Gordon's got a free one as part of the GoAsm package you can snag.

This is almost always a path problem.
However, installing HLA in the MASM32 directory is generally not a good idea.
I'd suggest installing HLA off the root directory. There is no reason why it
shouldn't work elsewhere, but people tend to get paths messed up when
they install it somewhere besides C:\

It seems he installed HLA in c:\masm32\hla, however the paths set up assume HLA is in c:\hla

It cannot work.

I suppose he can simply drag the hla folder from masm32 to the root and everything should work.
