I use Terminal 9 font for coding (on 1280 x 1024 screen).

Are there any fonts out there that are especialy designed for programming, preferably ones that make sure there are no ambiguities between different characters such as bolded colon and semicolon, profound period and comma, stretched braces and brackets?

Or maybe you know a nice fixed-font editor I can use to modify the terminal font myself.
After spending several hours in front of a monitor, those characters tend to blend into one.

Basically any monospace font at a size that looks "like it should".
