I'm trying to create a dialog (with DialogBoxIndirectParam) which has a close box and a title, but no system menu. I've looked through all the documentation I've got, but I can't find the window style to accomplish this.

Use a DS_MODAL style. You cannot get rid of the system menu completely if you still want the functions it exposes it will always be available on a right click of the titlebar. You can dsiable all of it's items however. Or you can just use a WS_EX_TOOLWINDOW type dialog.

That's right, I'm trying to get rid of the icon in the upper left corner, not the system menu. 'DS_MODAL' - no such equate here, dude. What I've got is DS_MODALFRAME and DS_SYSMODAL, but they don't seem to affect that icon.

My bad, DS_MODALFRAME _does_ remove that icon.
Thanks, Donkey ASSembler. :)
Ya know, it's the small things (icon/no icon) that make a perfect app in the end. (I hope)

You're right it is DS_MODALFRAME, I got distracted while typing and wasn't thinking. :) I use an IDE so it is pretty rare I actually have to type those things
