Can I install MASM32 and then simply apply SP2 without SP1, or do I need both to be up-to-date?

Its better to install MASM32 and then apply both service packs as they have different files in them. Some of the files in SP2 update the ones in SP1 but it should not take that much longer to set it up.

I will have this problem solved in the next version of MASM32 where it will all be in one package again.

You can miss the step of building the library from SP1 as it had a path error in it from me forgetting to remove an absolute path from a few of the modules. Just use the library from SP2 as its the current one.
