Hi The Svin

I am using GetFileInformationByHandle to check if file is alredy opened.

This might be the problem:

Depending on the underlying network components of the operating system and the type of server connected to, the GetFileInformationByHandle function may fail, return partial information, or full information for the given file. In general, you should not use GetFileInformationByHandle unless your application is intended to be run on a limited set of operating system configurations.

Does anybody know of a better way?.

Hi, KetilO.
The problem ocurred only in latest version, until them there wasn't such a problem.
I had RadAsm in disk C and most of project on other
drives, and all worked OK.
Something was done in RadAsm just recently to cause it.

Hi The Svin

Yes, I changed from a simple string compare to GetFileInformationByHandle to solve a long / short path & filename problem.

I've made an experiment.
I Moved directory with RadAsm to another disk
and tried to open project on the disk.
The problem (with inability to open more then one file)
remained.
So before I said that the problem was if project opened was
not in the same as RadAsm disk.
Now it appeared that the problem is if project is not in disk C:.
Might be something wrong in parsing\cheking
in part of disk letter in full file name.
Yet it seems weird to me:
Why RadAsm is able to open a file if there is no files opened yet,
and it is not able to open anything if there is already one file opened.
And more - it's actually able to open more than one file, but with
usage of "open file" option from file menu, and is not able to open it
by clicking in "project brouser".
And again if project is in disk C: - then RadAsm able to open more than 1
file from both "open file" option and "project brouse"

Hi The Svin

Thanks,

The problem should now be solved. I am using a different method to solve the short / long filename problem.
Also fixed a keyboard macro recording problem on win98.

Now i can not make it to open and detect errors in include files placed in a general folder above the project folder ... like in : "../_share/win32api.asm"

Hi Ketil,

There is a problem when I select text in a dialog and paste it to the edit window. The cursor will jump unpredictably, this is not a persistent problem and I am not sure what makes it happen but the cursor can sometimes jump 20 or 30 lines. It only seems to happen when I press Ctrl-V to paste.

Also if I put the cursor on the line before a section start (.DATA/.CODE etc..) and press DEL the section will no longer collapse.

Hi Ketil,

The problem with building modules has been fixed in GoAsm 0.49.10 beta, the /C argument will place the OBJ files in the current directory. However I have noticed this in the LINK command...

9,OT,C:\GoAsm\lib\LIB.EXE /OUT:"$9",*.obj

Gives...

C:\GoAsm\lib\LIB.EXE /OUT:"Convert.lib" "3.obj"

To correct it I have to add the following

9,OT,C:\GoAsm\lib\LIB.EXE /OUT:"$9",.\*.obj

I am unable to make any of those things happend.

9,OT,C:\GoAsm\lib\LIB.EXE /OUT:"",.\*.obj

Good that you found a workaround. A space in front of *.obj might also work.
