"Boot.ini" I edited it but can't change the default operating system it boots to. Did manage to eliminate both operating systems though...lol.

Why dont you just right click on "My Computer"->"Properies"->"Advanced"->"Startup and Recovery"->"Settings"->Select from the list.

If not there then add it by what you have been doing ->Click on Edit to edit boot.ini

the default VGA driver

option for default OS
??"default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)WINNT"

the time for you to choose OS (in second)
??timeout=30

with winXP, you can use msconfig.exe to edit it.
