was just wondrin if theres any way of adding text to a EditText-box, like the LB_ADDSTRING does to a ListBox (not as SetDlgItemText, which clears the box first)?
did write a small func that gets the text in the box, cats it with the text to be added and sets the result back. But it just didnt feel good .

As far as I know there is no way in doing this...you need to write an own procedure for that like reading the text to memory, appending additional data and then SetDlgitemText...

so the answer was simply no.
please dont edit your posts (unless they are the last ones in line) because this might make the subjects untraceable for other users.

You can use SendMessage or SendDlgItemMessage with messages EM_SETSEL and EM_REPLACESEL to append, insert, delete, or replace text.

ah my bad...tenkey is right, you can move selection to the right and then replace the selection -> insert /append some text directly.
