I am trying to find some basic tutorials for MASM 32, but i couldn't. Everything i find is examples about how to use Win API in MASM.

Can anyone tell me where i can find information about how to do math calculations, and work with strings in masm: very basic stuff.

Thank you,
Gregory.

pahan,

Well, if you wanna find about math calculations or work with strings you could look at these sites:

http://www.alpertron.com.ar/INST8088.HTM
http://www.escape.ca/~rrrobins/Assembly/index.html#86SET

Note that they do not talk specifically about MASM, but that is the way in MASM you do calculations or work with strings.

It sounds like you need to learn the x86 instruction set. Art of Assembly is pretty good. Follow the links on this Webster page. You can find HTML, PDF and download versions of both the 16 and 32 bit versions of AOA. It also has links to other good MASM stuff:

There is a ton of info out there on the x86. The Intel manuals, Microsoft's MASM reference and programmer guides. Hutch's MASM32 package comes with the OPCODES.HLP file, that's not bad for a quick reference to each instruction.
