I would like to skin my window using an animated gif. Are there any examples on how to do this? Would it be remotely the same as using a bitmap? I have done it with a bitmap before but never an animated GIF. Any help is appreciated.

I believe that the only GIF include file and library that I saw was only compatible with static GIF files. So, either you'll have to make that function on your own or wait for someone to upgade that set.

Possibly you could turn the Animated GIF of yours into an AVI file, since there is a way to put AVIs into a window.

hmm what about regular GIFS. Not animated? Any idea on setting those up as the skin for the window?

GIF decoding library + handling WM_ERASEBKGND I'd guess?

zhang, can you post it here if it's not too big? There's a probably more people who'd like it.

I 've just seen this post. The AniGIF control is MY work. zhang9560 should point this and not try to give it as his work.

I can be found at http://www.winasm.net
