How often do you have to make screenshots and what program do you use? Are screenshots something you make at work a lot? (for example, bug reporting/tracking).

I usually use alt+prtscr to copy the current window, then paste it in paint shop pro. I've been considering making a small capture app that would save directly to gif/png/jpeg, but I have a couple of other projects to finish first.

I use MWSnap. It's great. Beats the hell out of ctrl+printscr.

http://www.mirekw.com/winfreeware/mwsnap.html ? Looks pretty nifty. I think I'll still have a go at writing a small one myself sometime, simply because it would be fun :) (oh, and because I could do what I need smaller than a 1meg Delphi executable ;P)

I use the HTML Help Image Editor. It works for me.

ctrl+print_screen -> paste in paint

And don't forget about Shift+PrintScreen on multimonitor systems ;)

yeah, that one's nice too timon :) - do you know of a way to make it do a "100% seamless" shot, without taking the "Logical monitor placement" into consideration?
