When I try to save a .doc file, I am getting a file permission error. I can save to my local drive OK.

No one appears to know how to fix it.

Probably:

Windows Version (XP Home, Pro, 2000, NT...) SP1, SP2, etc...
Your User Rights (Restricted, Administrator or that other one ...erm... Whatschumacallit)
Are you using MS Office or OpenOffice? And what version?
Exact phrase of the MessageBox/Dialog.

Anything that might help. Good luck with it :)

Or like checking the "Security" tab of the directory and telling us your rights in that directory??? 

If you don't see yourself there, just gives the "Everyone" rights.

MS Word 2003

Word cannot save the file due to file permission error.

I am not listed under the security tab for the drive.
