Hi
Here the preliminary stuff for a JPG object. I also attached a binary to see how it works. For the moment it is a really simple object but completely functional.

Sweet, I'll be able to use this for my textures :)
In the past I had to use intel's jpeg lib or else use IPicture interface to load jpg..

DirectX supports DXTn format. A 512x512 texture, with 10 pre-generated mipmaps is only 340KB in DXT5.

Any special reason that this is a "JPG" object and not an "OlePicture" object?

No, not really. It is only for test purposes and because I need to load a JPG  :)
Too bad that OlePicture doesn't support PNGs.

The next step is to build a Picture object with some special rendering methods like those Donkey has developed.

Ok, I thought so, but wanted to be sure you hadn't hidden some special JPEG specific goodies :)
And yes, too bad it doesn't support PNG - at least it supports GIFs though, and there's always Thomas' PNG code.

Oh, that sounds interesting :)
