I was wondering if it was possible in asm to prevent windows from shutdowning ... maybe by catching the ExitWindow api Anyon ehas an idea, source or comment ?

I don't think you can stop windows from calling the api or catch it, you might be able to edit the shutdown api in the dll file.

Exitwindowsex send a WM_QUERYENDSESSION to all windows, if you return true to this message you will halt the system shutdown. Note if exitwindowsex is called with the EWX_FORCE you will not be able to stop the shutdown. Good luck, Betrayed

It will be sent the wndproc just Like a WM_COMMAND message just catch it and MOV eax,TRUE ret that will stop windows from shutting down
