I'm trying to code a process patcher that patches 3 bytes into a function in a dll that the program calls. Neither the exe or the dll are packed, I'd just rather patch it in memory. My question is do I have to find the rva of the return from the function and patch there? I already have the offsets and bytes to patch the dll directly. Is there a better method, where I can simply use the info I've already found without digging through softice? --4oh4
