Hello again, I have another question about WS_ messages. I scoured the MSDN and didnt see anything that would say 'always on top'. An example program would be ICQ or WINAMP where the window persists over other open windows. Is there an simple 'or' combo for this to happen, or does it involve special window mamagement..? NaN

Check out SetWindowPos and the HWND_TOPMOST value. I think that is what you are after. Kye.

NaN, KyeMan's suggestion is a good one, check the styles for the CreateWindowEx() as well if you need a window that is alway on top without an option to change it. Regards, hutch@pbq.com.au

It took me 1/2 a minute to get it working right... THANX AGAIN (you guy are like the jedi high-council ;) ) For others interested: i replaced:

invoke ShowWindow,hWnd,SW_SHOWNORMAL
with:

invoke SetWindowPos, hWnd, HWND_TOPMOST, Wtx,Wty,Wwd,Wht,SWP_SHOWWINDOW
