Funny, in a previous message you wanted to disable the keyboard... have you ever thought of just switching your machine off? :) Anyway, down to the problem at hand. The only way you might be able to turn off the card is by switching it into stand-by mode. Screen savers can do this, so I'd investigate this possibility. I suggest starting by reading up on the power saving features of your Operating system (NT/95/98/2K etc) see how they do it. You'll probably find an API call somewhere which will do what you need. I don't know of any off hand I'm afraid. umbongo

this is how I put my monitor in standby. Mind you that the monitor must support it, but that's pretty common :)

just wiggle your mouse or something :) this is the thing windows does to your monitor after a long period of inactivity
