I want to announce a new “live update” before releasing the next major OA32 version. There is a lot of news, in particular on the COM and DirectX support which was completely reworked.

Here are some of them:

  • D3D has been reworked.

  • Better COM support.

  • OA32_Updater has a now .bat script executed after each update.

  • Help updated.

  • Self pointer is now typecasted for debug info.

  • 2 minor DebugCenter bugs have been corrected.

  • qMath macro library added (Bittian support).

A complete list can be found at the documentation page “Live Updates (20.03.08)”

We also updated our Homepage with a completely new layout and added a news email subscription service and RSS feeds. We hope you enjoy it.

You can find the new update at the ObjAsm32 homepage: http://ObjAsm32.Tripod.com#start as well as http://www.ObjAsm32.rantx.com or http://www.asmcommunity.net/projects/objasm32

Note: to take advantage of the new Updater, first download the OA32_Updater package. This way you can automatically recompile your modified local libraries.

I seem to be having a hard time connecting to the update server using the live update program posted on your site.
I keep getting an error message box with the following on it: "error communicating with the server".
My firewall is set to allow the live update program to access the internet.
  Thanks,  Rags

Heya :)
There is a backup server available.

Configure the application (File\Setup)...
Set the Host address to "ObjAsm32.rantx.com"
Set the File path to "/DwnFiles/OA32_SRC.ZIP"
and try again.

Still no luck, even after I  disabled the  firewall just in case it was blocking the program.

Issue fixed and the live update service is running again.

Thanks Rags
