Hi all,
Is there a full example of an OS written in Assembly that loads from a CD/DVD-Drive or runs from an .exe?

I would be much grateful if someone could help me out.

Thanks

1. What do you mean by "example"? Almost all OSes run from a CD/DVD and many of them have large portions written in assembly.
2. OS that runs from an .exe? How is that supposed to work?

Check out DexOS, it loads "Kernel32.exe" from a floppy/CD/Pen Drive. You can easaly remove the
DexOS kernel and put your own in place. It is also written in full ASM.

Please read the Beginner Mistakes and make sure what you want to do and how are you going to do it. ;)
