Greetings yall,

I'm trying to compare a letter that the user inputs to a specific ascii value. If its true then i increment lets say the ebx register. I'm using intel x86. my question is how to i compare  the input to the actual ascii value, and if there is a way i can move the ascii value of that character  to another register. I'm a little confused on this and i am a noob at assembly.  Lets say i input "A",  how do i compare the ascii value "65" to that "A". any help would be appreciated.

Eh, the ascii value for A is 65 - that's how you compare it :P

cmp al, 65h
cmp al, "A"

same thing.
