I'm using my old INI files (RadASM.ini & masm.ini), so I'll copy my settings over to the suplied INI's and try to get it working.

Edit: It works now - the old INI's don't work.

very nice feature...
Is it possible in the future to have a menu when I right click on a button of this tab, and from it, close the file, minimize the window, etc...

Just an idea... :)

Thanks for this great new version !

I tried to recreate your bug on WinXP Csn.. I couldn't. It works just fine for me.. Maybe its just your common controls dll :)

Hi CsnWltr

I am able to make it happend on my machine at work (Win98SE).
It happends when the dialog moves on the tab control. At present I have no idea why. I will check it out.

Hi KetilO,

FYI--I am moving the Edit Color window all over the screen (including over the Tabs) and it works fine for me..no errors here.

Hi gscundiff

It's so strange. It does not happend on my machine at home. Same OS. I will have to check the versions of the two Comctl32.dll.

Hi KetilO,

I thought I would take a break from programming
and downloaded your lastest RadAsm and I also
have the COMCTL32.DLL crash problem on Win98,
I didn't try it on NT 4.0.

Hi all

Global buffers. Very bad. To parse the keywords into the listbox in the Color Option dialog I use a global buffer. It seems the buffer contains some data that should not be overwritten when showing the dialog.

I will fix it in my next release. Meanwhile, be careful to use the Color Option dialog.

Just so I don't seem like I'm ignoring the havoc I created,
comctl32.dll = ver 5.80

And I will be careful about changing the colors.

Thanks for a great program.

I was using v1.0.8 with no problems... then I downloaded 1.0.9 and the program aborts when I'm in the color editor. If I make a change to some of the colors it works OK, then aborts when I try to exit RadASM. I also tried to use the v1.0.8 RadASM.ini file, but it caused the app to crash too.

Gary,

I'm using win2k and I have modified each color in the editor, I like a white background with blue keywords and green comments. But when I changed them nothing crashed.

What OS and other tech specs you using?

THanks

Hi all

Aaah, finaly found the reason for this mysterious crashes. String buffer overrun. I still don't know why my Win98SE at work always creshed and not my Win98SE at home. Currently working on struct code complete. Will post 1.0.9.1 in a couple of days.
