Can someone point me in the right direction to where I can find out information (source code too if possible) on writing a program to control a dvd...
Basically I want to be able to be able to start the dvd at anypoint and stop it :) Pretty simple, but I don't know where to look for it...
C, C++ or ASM code is pref.

Hi,
it depends on what you are going to do in detail.
First, if you want a simple application with less effort check out the DirectShow filters first. In addition there is maybe a SDK bundled to existing DVD-Player Software where you can hook on.
But, if you want to do this by yourself at all
(reading MBA, decoding MPEGII and AC3, DeCSS etc.) I can support you easily with links, sources, docs, hints and many more. :-)
I'd be glad to share my place in hell with anyone else
Bye Miracle

Thanks Miracle,
Since I'm working with NT (sp 6) which if I remeber correctly only have a workable area up to directx 3.0 (I don't believe it has the support I need-- directshow) I may need you to reserve me a seat in your personal hell :) Maybe make it mine too...
I'd appreciate anything you could help me with... :)
