i saw a tutorial of nehe written in masm but i can't compile it because of a certain include file. it is not a *.inc file, nor is it included in the zip file. please help me here b-cause i really want to learn how to write openGL programs

Hello !

Well I've got this tutorials and they are working fine. Do you have those ones converted by (scalp) ?

He used the following include files:

.. + winextra.def
....... - unicode.def

.. + gl.def
....... - gl.mac

.. + glu.def
....... - glu.mac

and the library files:

.. - opengl32.lib
.. - glu32.lib

If you need one of them, tell me that and I will send you the missing ones !

I use the include file of Hardcode, but he's page is no longer available (webjump)...
U can try scalper.cjb.net, but I don't know if they are there (I know i should update this page....)

put this into your masm32/include directory

I'm on vacation, so i'm not sure if these are the last one, but at least, you will be able to compile first tuts

I am needing some files too....

I dont have these files and i dont have a ogl folder.

I needed all these...

include \masm32\include\ogl\gl.def
include \masm32\include\ogl\glu.def
include \masm32\include\ogl\kernel32.inc
include \masm32\include\ogl\user32.inc
include \masm32\include\ogl\gdi32.inc
include \masm32\include\ogl\WinExtra\winextra.def

I have never done any work with opengl so I have never downloaded any extra files for masm32

anyone got one zip with all the extras I will need?

I have tried the zip and it helps but i still dont have the gl.def and the glu.def.

is this something i should have got with masm32?

I want Nehe or his affiliates to convert that .Md3 loading routine into MASM like he did all the other demos.. that would be wicked useful..! Is there a reason why its not translated when alot of the others are? I could probably try to do it myself since he gives alot of information on it, but damn if thats not confusing to a total newbie to try to figure out!

Why on earth are you trying a MD3 loading when you are just newbie. I've been coding for like 3-4 months now and I would still not try a MD3 loading. I'm still trying to make a polygrid, and work on my com porting skills :)

Moral: Try something easier :grin:

I read that thing like 50 times already and now its actually starting to make sense.. if I ever end up porting it to MASM I'll post it up for everyone to use.. but yea your right I should try some easier stuff first.. thats definatly something I plan on doing though
