Because of the standard font, Windows uses after "CreateWindowEx".

Use this to change it to the "normal" font:

invoke GetStockObject, DEFAULT_GUI_FONT
mov hFont, eax
invoke SendMessage, hButton, WM_SETFONT, hFont, 0

yea it was the font i got it fixed. btw im using the lib up there,a nd i used my left,top,width,high from my res file and its tiny button oh well ill get the dimentions i want right

Qages, I'm happy you have solved all your problems. This morning I prepared a little C test app which draws a coloured button. I post it here even if you don't need it, maybe will be usefull for someone else :tongue:.
