Aimless links in Win32.hlp
Does I have an invalid version of the Win32.hlp? Many topics are not available. For example this one:
topic: TB_SETSTATE
link: Toolbar Button States
==> MessageBox: This topic is not available. (Error 129)
Please try this link in your Win32.hlp
If there doesn't appear a messagebox could you please post me a link to this site where you've downloaded it?
Thank you, Marwin

that activex will determine if you have already installed the PSDK. Don't worry. ;)

There is win32.hlp somewhere on ftp.borland.com. So look around there... :)

win32.hlp is old and outdated...
PSDN vs MSDN... PSDK is only a part of MSDN, MSDN includes stuff like
technical articles, VC++ library help, VB++ help, etc...
win32.hlp sucks. PlatformSDK rocks. Late stuff from vs.net sucks :(.
win32.hlp takes a second to load and same goes for its topics. MSDN Library and its bloated HTML Help interface make it unusable on this this machine. The choice is obvious for me and other people on older systems.
There is only one solution, write a letter to BILL and tell him you are not happy with one of the early releases of win32.hlp. It may not be wise to hold your breath waiting for a response as BILL would prefer that you BUY the XP version and use .NET.
You guys must be getting your versions from the ARK, I have a set of help files from BCB3 that total 29.4 meg and it does most stuff. For later stuff, use MSDN or the PLATFORMSDK. Both are bloated bags of HTML crap with the usual gaggle of junk, VB, ACCESS, MFC and the like but if you search long enough, you can usually find the PLATFORMSDK stuff that is useful in win32.

The reason why i don't like to use msdn.microsoft.com is that to find something related to one specific win32 api is like looking for fishs in the muddy water. That place is junk with VB, access, MFC, maybe something related to windows CE.
roticv, learn to use it properly then :). Choose advanced search, clear all,
and check only the stuff you want to search through.
Furthermore, as far as I remember, the PSDK downloads don't include all
the VB and access and whatever stuff - that's the full MSDN package.

I downloaded the full msdn package and burnt it on a cd.;) But I use the win32.hlp for most of my codings.
