I there a safe way to read/get the Network Cards MAC addres
in Win2k/Xp while not using NETBIOS ?

4.7 - How do I get the MAC (a.k.a. hardware) address of the local Ethernet adapter?.
The SNMP API method is very reliable, on win98/winNT/2k/XP there's another method using the iphlp api, and there are some low level methods that directly talk to the device drivers.

TCPTable, amoung other things, gets the max address for the different ip adapters in the computer.
