I am putting together a pack of software at my site: http://www.smiley-jones.cjb.net/ and was wondering how to load an avi file as a child window.

There's a common control called "Animation", the class being "SysAnimate32". Go to platform sdk for it. pretty easy to use.

keep in mind that the avi control plays only Microsoft-Codec AVI formats (uncompressed?).

MCIWndCreate plays every video / audio format (if you have the codecs installed)
