Hi all

Previous attemt to support Chinese characters was unstable.
I think I have sorted out the problems now.
Please give it a try and give me some feedback.

Note: The zip contains RadASM.exe only, so you need to install version first.

How to:

1. Check Option / Code Editor / Chinese strings
2. If you want to use Chinese in comments you must also set Comments color to same color as Fore color.

Could you install win2K chinese support for test?
it could fround in Win2K MUI disk.
Always hanghanghang under my XP while lots of chinese characters....
Open a chinese document,click Option->Text font,it's will hang.
I think UltraEdit,EditPlus and some other text editor's highlighting methods is diffrent of RadASM's.
For example,RadASM's highlighting will miss algin in most english font except Courier New.
I notied radasm may use Low layer methods to make the radasm.exe smaller....
I thought it is the choice KetilO use other better highlighting codes,
Or patch and patch old codes.

Sure, there may be a headache work,But I deem we can support and wait.

Hi all

The problem with chinese characters and hiliting has been tracked down to that the richedit does not always like to return text at the point where I need it to. There does not seem to be any simple solution to this, but I'm not giving up yet. Just give me some time.

Or Reading the address out of application range.
Then windows hang your radasm.exe or it hang itself.
I think the all error couse of the highlighting methods that you use....
the english codes always mis-align in some fonts.
Is a custom edit control will be better?
Or,an other highlighting methods?
e.g.use rtf format to highlighting entire screen, sure it isnot a good methods.

thanks your working.

Or,let user's can use own highlighting code by your addin interface?

Hi all

I am trying hard to find out what is going wrong here.

Here is a little test project with source. It hilites comments in almost the same manner as RadASM does.

It will not support Chinese in comments.
What I want to know if this prog also hangs.

Hi Const.Ex

Now I know that it is some other event in RadASM that makes it hang on hiliting.
