Hello everyone:

When assembling a TabControl program I receive the following message: Link:LNK 2001:unresolved external symbol _WinMainCRTstartup

I am a newbie, but would appreciate any help I can get.

Debugging a problem is at the best of times difficult, but when you don't have the code it can be impossible!

Can you post the code, or a link to it etc.

Sounds like you may not have defined an entry point!
All standalone code (ie will compile to an exe) needs an entry point!

.code

myentrypoint: ; can be anything you like, I usually use start
; it is a lable so is just some text followed
; by a colon (':').

; Then your code is written here!

invoke ExitProcess, eax
; End of the code!

end myentrypoint
; or "end start", or "end blah" depending on what
; you name your entry point

If it doesn't fix it, post the code!

Thanks Mirno:

I had placed a semi-colon ";" after Start instead of ":". That got rid of my linker error message. The prog still doesn't work as I want, but I will study it further.
