I want to do a horizontal and vertical scrolling with a DirectDraw surface. Until now I repaint the complete screen with some pixels offset. Is there a possibility to scroll hardware suppoerted by changing the start address of the screen buffer? (Amiga like :) beaster.
Yeah... good Question hardware SHOULD be able to do that...but..argh...NO its not possible with DirectX...:( Another example is: many videoboards are capable of doing Alpha Blending in 2D (hardware) but DirectX choose not to support it ... Hope u can live with it
